10 Reasons to Invest in Land NOW

1. We are now past the bottom of the bell curve. Market trends are showing that we have hit bottom and are slowly picking up speed. Every day that goes by is a lost opportunity to get your slice of the pie while land prices remain low. Don’t be fooled by schemes like wholesaling or “property flipping” with regard to land. Land investments are ideal for the long-term but disappointing at best for the short-term. If you want quick cash, stick to day-trading.
2. Reduced supply. As hard as we may try, humans cannot create land. Unlike other commodities like stocks, fuels, even gold, land cannot be created. However, land can be destroyed through mountain-top removal, environmental hazards, rising sea levels, and nuclear waste.
3. Survival via homesteading. As fuel, water, and food become more expensive and difficult to come by, humans may need to resort to homesteading in order to survive. Finding enough land to provide for your family’s homestead will likely become more difficult.
4. Increased demand for food cropland. As more food farmers switch to growing fuel crops, humans will need new croplands to provide food.
5. Population demand. As the world population (which will reach 7 Billion this year) grows, available land will become increasingly scarce.
6. Privacy. As development picks up, privacy will come at an ever-increasing premium. In the long run, private properties such as large tracts of land will likely be worth more per acre than smaller lots with close proximity to town.
7. Water cost may trump fuel cost. With the unknown effects of climate change heading our way, having land with its own source of free-flowing and clean water may be the key to survival. In places where drinking water is created by desalination, water tables are stressed by over-irrigation, and water sources are contaminated with mercury, “fracking”, or other pollutants, water already comes at a premium. Properties with reliable water sources will inevitably be worth significantly more than those without water.
8. Increasing threats of disease. Living away from dense populations could mean the difference between life and death in the event of a pandemic, homeland war, hunger riot, or fuel shortage.
9. Demand for local food. As fuel cost and environmental awareness both rise, local food sources will be increasingly important (and subsequently in higher demand) to ensure sustainability.
10. The Power of power. Having enough land to create your own electricity via solar, wind, and hydro can provide you with income, combat climate change, and come in handy if the electrical grid were to suffer either long-term or short-term power outages.

webassets/website-sign.jpg

Our agent-friendly yard sign is made of high-quality aluminum, and comes with a sturdy metal frame.  There is a space for a rider below the sign.  An example of a rider would be "Price Reduced," "Acreage," or "Just Listed."

Why should you use an agent-friendly sign instead of a  "For Sale By Owner" sign?  For one, the MLS will not allow FSBO signs on listed properties.  Also, buyer's agents will be more hesitant to portray your property in a positive way if they think it is a FSBO with no commission offered to them.

When people see your sign on the road, they will call you directly, not us.  We want you to have the best chance at selling your property By Owner and saving both sides of the commission.
